Houston’s Ismaili Muslims, commonly known in South Asia as Aga Khanis, form one of the city’s most organized and service-minded communities. Their contribution reaches far beyond their own faith institutions—into affordable healthcare, education, food service and business development. They are active in public office, diplomacy and interfaith cooperation.
Ismaili families have created employment, supported vulnerable families and helped newcomers establish themselves. Their professionals, entrepreneurs and donors have strengthened both the Ismaili community and Houston’s wider Pakistani and American civic life.
Guided by a deeply rooted tradition of voluntary service, they continue to reach beyond community boundaries—serving people of every background, belief and nationality.
