Participants carried Pakistani and PTI flags, chanted slogans, and called for democratic values and political rights. Community members, including local activists and families, took part in the rally, which concluded peacefully.
Pakistani Mango Exports Surge as Houston Festival Promotes Trade and Culture
HOUSTON: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Houston hosted its annual Mango Festival, showcasing Pakistan’s premium mango varieties, including Sindhri, Chaunsa, and Anwar Ratol. Consul General Aftab Chaudhry announced that mango exports to the United States nearly doubled this year, reaching 190,000 boxes. The event brought together community leaders, elected officials, and business representatives to promote trade and celebrate Pakistan’s rich agricultural heritage.

HOUSTON: Friends of Karachi Houston successfully organized a grand Mehfil-e-Haleem at Tempura Marquee, bringing together more than 2,000 community members and guests from across the Houston area.

MIC Crochet Guild Empowers Young Girls Through Creativity and Life Skills
HOUSTON: The MIC Crochet Guild is making a meaningful impact by helping young girls develop creativity, confidence, patience, and valuable life skills through hands-on crochet classes in a completely tech-free environment.
During a recent visit to the program, community members had the opportunity to see the participants proudly showcase their handmade crochet creations. In a short period of time, the young girls have learned impressive crochet techniques and expressed great enthusiasm while sharing their work and experiences.
The initiative is led by Nazek Salahudeen, whose vision and dedication have created a positive learning environment where girls can build practical skills while strengthening their self-confidence and creativity.
Special appreciation was also extended to Arshia Khan and Sabah Chaudhry for their commitment and support in helping the program succeed.
Organizers believe that programs such as the MIC Crochet Guild go beyond teaching a craft by encouraging young people to become productive, confident, and engaged members of the community. The initiative continues to receive praise for providing a constructive and inspiring space for youth development.
