NEW DELHI: Bollywood actor Mushtaq Khan, recognised for his supporting and comic performances in Hindi films, died on Thursday after a prolonged battle with cancer. Film industry representatives confirmed his death.
Khan appeared in films including Welcome and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. His work across supporting roles made him a familiar face to audiences even when he was not the lead actor. News of his death prompted renewed attention to a career built through performances in popular Hindi cinema.
His passing also brought tributes from fellow performers. Actor Rajpal Yadav recalled visiting Khan in hospital shortly before his death, describing their final meeting in remarks reported on Friday.
